When I was growing up, my family had a 1950s GE refrigerator. It was white with a foot pedal that you stepped on to open the door. It also had "lazy susan" shelves that revolved. I always wished that we had a more modern refrigerator with a water and ice dispenser in the front door. I now have a stainless steel Sub-Zero with a water and ice dispenser, but in memory of my old 1950s "icebox", I share some photos of vintage or unusual refrigerators and ranges that caught my eye.

My 1950s GE refrigerator looked like this.
